Oto Melara offers its collaboration to help discharged soldiers to enter the job market

Oto Melara of La Spezia and the Italian Army base of Genoa have signed an agreement to help discharged young soldiers re-enter the job market.

This operative agreement, that follows the memorandum of understanding signed in 2005 during the 100-year anniversary celebration of Oto Melara, was signed on January 29th, 2008 at the La Spezia factory by Mr. Carlo Alberto Lardella, CEO of the Company, and Gen. Piercorrado Meano, Commander of the Italian Army base.

This commitment develops and supports the collaboration between the Armed Forces and the defence industry by offering specific courses that allow the discharged soldiers to enter the job market, combining the experience gathered during their military service with the specific instruments of vocational guidance, support and training offered by the industry to facilitate both the entrance in the working environment and the pursuit of an appropriate and satisfying job.
